General Information - New York State Against Genetic Engineering
LOBBY DAY

FOR SAFE FOOD

Join with organizations and individuals to protect our food supply from an unregulatedbiotech industry  pushing genetic engineering, an experimental, untested and unproven technology, on our farms and farmers. There is growing evidence that genetically engineered (GE) foods are dangerous to our health and our environment.

New York State Against Genetic Engineering (NYSAGE)is holding a citywide meeting to organize a Lobby Day in Albany this spring to advocate for pending right-to-know and farmer protection legislation and a moratorium on planting GE crops in New York State (for details see http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?by=k&qs=genetically+modified).  Join us on:

You Can Make the Difference!

NYSAGE is a coalition of organizations and individuals committed to stop genetic engineering. We are working to alert the public to the dangers of genetically engineered foods and advocate for legislation banning or labeling GE foods, crops and animals. We are determined that corporations be held liable for GE crop contamination. NYSAGE supports sustainable and organic agriculture as a safe and sane alternative to industrial farming.  Members include food coops, CSAs and health and environmental organizations throughout New York State.
